Dear IUVA Members,

Jim’s impact on the ultraviolet technology community cannot be overstated. His pioneering research, leadership, and decades of dedication helped shape the global UV industry into what it is today. As a founder of the IUVA, longtime Executive Director, and Editor of IUVA News, Jim guided our organization with vision, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to advancing UV science for public good. Many of the innovations and standards we rely on today exist because of his work.

In 2022 Jim spoke as a special guest on the IUVA podcast, Wavelength, about the history of UV disinfection.
